The second half of the 2009 Major League Baseball season is officially underway. We feature several interesting baseball stories on the next Sports Spectrum.

Among our guests will be one of the All Star second basemen for the American League this past Tuesday night, Ben Zobrist of the Tampa Bay Rays. Ben's baseball story is very unusual. He was not considered a prospect in high school and eventually walked on at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbannais, Illinois.

But, he kept getting better and better and eventually made it to the major leagues. And, this past Tuesday night, he was an All Star. He takes a look back at how the Lord has worked in his incredible journey in baseball.

We take a look at the second half of the season with veteran broadcaster John Gordon of the Minnesota Twins.

And, we also hear the story of infielder Tug Hullett of the Kansas City Royals. Tug has bounced back and forth between the Royals and their AAA farm club in Omaha. He shares a story of experiencing a tremendous tragedy as a child. And, how he is seeing the Lord use that tragedy to impact lives today.

We also get some thoughts on college basketball and summer recruiting from a young college coach, Matt Brown from Missouri-Kansas City.

And Chaplain Bill Crowder shares his perspective on the British Open, the next major in golf.
