Roger Lipe – Issues Athletes Face

SPORTS SPECTRUM TODAY

Roger Lipe
Team Chaplain
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Staff Member

Interviewed By: Frank Giardina

Earlier this month, the sports world was shaken with the shooting of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair in Nashville, Tennessee.

The incident was a wake-up call for sports chaplain, Roger Lipe. Roger is on staff with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in southern Illinois and is a chaplain for the Southern Illinois sports teams.

On this edition of Sports Spectrum Today, Roger talks about the issues that change athletes when they can no longer play, or are no longer part of a team.

He also talks about the adoring sports culture that eventually causes problems for the professional athlete. And, he talks about the solution to the problems.

Don’t miss a discussion on real issues in sports and life with Roger Lipe on Sports Spectrum Today
